My Mission

What is my mission?
Why, at this time in history, in this place, has God put me here on earth? I desire to live a purposeful and intentional life, however that requires me to be aware of the road it takes to do so. The biggest threat to my life is one that is purposeless and without intentionality. Because God is the ultimate craftsman of my life, I am confident that if my heart is in alignment with His I can live purposefully for His kingdom.
So what is my purpose here in this life?
I find myself at the forefront of this question often, and I keep turning back to the idea of being a vessel for God's truth. I desire to bring people to a greater awareness of who God has made them to be through His love and grace. Through this awareness we can be a living example of God's craftsmanship while being a living testimony to His glory.
As God crafts each of our lives uniquely, I believe that He has placed each of us specifically where we are in order to bring Him glory in one capacity or another. I am greatly encouraged by the truth found in Psalm passage 139:
"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. 14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a] Wonderful are your works my soul knows it very well.15 My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them."
From this truth I can be confident that God has built me for a worth that is so uniquely crafted for my life. If I believe this to be true for myself then I have no reason to not be confident that this is true for all of His people. We do ourselves, the people around us and God a disservice when we live out of anything other than what God has crafted us for.
But how do we know what that looks like?? I believe God uses people to reflect to each other who they are and who God says they are. If I am to live into this purpose then I need to live a life in pursuit of who God says I am and what He has to say about His people. God uses the facets of His character to create us, providing us glimpses of who He is through His people.
My mission in life is to be an encouragement and living reflection of God's truth, love and compassion, Sheparding His people into a life of purposeful awareness of who He is and who we are because of that truth. It is my prayer that I might be a person that walks in His purpose for my life.
